Tennis player Daniel Phillips played a key role in Arizona State University’s 7-0 victory over Loyola Marymount University at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Phillips showcased his skills in both doubles and singles action, contributing to the Sun Devils’ comprehensive win.
Phillips and teammate Tanner Povey paired up for a 6-4 victory over Alex Padro Parra and Inigo Diaz in the No. 2 doubles match. The win helped secure the doubles point for Arizona State.
In singles play, Phillips, playing at the No. 4 position, defeated Cesar Cruz 7-6, 6-4.
