The Queen’s Six To Perform Charity Concerts
The Queen’s Six will return to Bermuda this April for two charity concerts at St. Theresa’s Cathedral, supporting the Amber’s Wings charity.
A spokesperson said, “The internationally acclaimed British vocal ensemble, The Queen’s Six, will make a triumphant return to Bermuda this spring for two exclusive charity concerts supporting Amber’s Wings. These performances will take place on April 4 and April 5, 2025, at St. Theresa’s Cathedral in Hamilton, promising an unforgettable evening of exquisite a cappella harmony for a worthy cause.
“Following their sold-out performances in Bermuda in 2018, The Queen’s Six, renowned for their breathtaking vocal prowess and intricate harmonies, are excited to reconnect with the Bermudian audience. Formed in 2008 and based at Windsor Castle, this distinguished sextet regularly performs before the British Royal Family and is celebrated worldwide for their unique blend of Renaissance polyphony, madrigals, and contemporary pop arrangements. As part of St. George’s Choir, they’ve performed at Royal weddings and also the funeral processions of the late Queen Elizabeth II. Featured on CBS’s Sunday Morning and known for performances at state and private occasions, including royal weddings and other historic events, The Queen’s Six bring a wealth of talent and prestige to every performance. Simon Whiteley of The Queen’s Six states: “After our concerts on the island back in 2019, we cannot wait to return to beautiful Bermuda for our two concerts helping to raise funds for Amber’s Wings. This incredible charity does such important work, and we’re so pleased to support them.”
The spokesperson said, “Amber’s Wings, the charity benefitting from these concerts, is dedicated to enhancing human connections and emotional healing through equine-assisted therapy and learning. Founded in memory of Amber Rose Bridges, a young woman whose compassion and love for horses inspired a mission, Amber’s Wings helps individuals manage trauma, foster personal growth, and build meaningful connections. This unique approach reflects Amber’s legacy, creating a lasting impact on the lives of those seeking healing and resilience.”
The charity’s founder and Amber’s mother Heidi Michelsen states: “Amber’s Wings was born out of a deeply personal grief journey and a profound desire to make a difference. As a mother, I have witnessed first hand the transformative power of love, connection and resilience animals have to offer us. I wanted to create a space where children facing challenges could find hope, healing and strength and so Amber’s Wings was born, a program that combines the nurturing bond between humans and animals with the tools needed for emotional growth and mental well-being. This concert will provide our organization with the funds necessary to reach 36 additional children for a year and we are immensely grateful for your support.”
The spokesperson said, “The producing managers of The Queen’s Six are Carl H. Paiva JP and T.J. Armand. Carl H. Paiva, former owner and CEO of C Travel, and partner of former Executive Director of Bermuda Festival [2018-2019 Season] T.J. Armand operate the acclaimed New York based production company Armand & Paiva LLC; home for many performing artists including Tony Award nominee [for her role as Janis Joplin] Mary Bridget Davies.”
Carl H. Paiva JP states: “T.J. and I are very proud to facilitate this opportunity to support such a great cause with the internationally acclaimed The Queen’s Six. Their sold out shows in 2019 at The City Hall were amazing and I’m certain their return to Bermuda will be triumphant at St. Theresa’s Cathedral!”
