Bermudians Join UKOT Youth Summit
Bermudians Jasiah Durham and Katherine Gunther are representing Bermuda at the 2025 UK Overseas Territories Association Youth Summit in London.
The Government’s London office said, “Today, young Bermudians Jasiah Durham and Katherine Gunther are participating in the 2025 UK Overseas Territories Association Youth Summit as Youth Participants on behalf of Bermuda.
“The Summit is a prominent forum that began in 2023, designed to empower the youth of the UK Overseas Territories by encouraging innovative thinking, fostering dialogue across the Territories, and providing the tools and skills to enhance cross-Territory initiatives.
“This year, the Summit was held at British Virgin Islands House in London with the theme ‘Diversity & Inclusivity in the Overseas Territories’. Participants engaged in discussions on thematic topics such as LGBTQ+ Rights, Neurodiversity in Education, & Immigration & Migration.
“Bermuda Human Rights Activist Taj Donville-Outerbridge gave remarks about their achievements made in the space of LGBTQ+ rights and spoke some words of inspiration for Participants.
“We are delighted to have led on organisation of the Summit alongside British Virgin Islands London Office. The involvement of Jasiah, Katherine and Taj underscores the strength of Bermuda’s connection to the broader Overseas Territories.”
