Dignity Foundation Appoints Dr. Alexis Swan
Dignity Foundation has named Dr. Alexis Swan as its new Chairperson “as the foundation gears up to enhance its support for individuals seeking rehabilitation at Dignity House.”
A spokesperson said, “Dignity Foundation is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Alexis Swan as its new Chairperson. With her extensive background in mental health services and her unwavering commitment to community well-being, Dr. Swan steps into this pivotal role as the foundation gears up to enhance its support for individuals seeking rehabilitation at Dignity House.
“Dignity Foundation has long been a cornerstone of mental health advocacy in Bermuda, primarily focused on providing essential financial support for individuals attending Dignity House. A dedicated facility that offers comprehensive mental health services.
“These services include counseling, psychiatric evaluation, psychological support, occupational therapy, recreational activities, nursing care, and addiction treatment. Dr. Swan’s new leadership promises to bring a fresh vision and renewed energy to these critical initiatives.
“Dr. Alexis Swan is no stranger to Bermuda or its community dynamics. With a wealth of experience, she previously served as a Junior Minister for Community, Culture and Affairs in 2012, where she made significant strides in community development and well-being. Her holistic approach to wellness, rooted in her expertise as a metaphysical counselor and her specialization in nutritional therapy, aligns perfectly with the mission of Dignity Foundation.
