Weekend Bermuda Harness Pony Racing Results
The Harness Pony Racing season has resumed at the National Equestrian Center on Vesey Street, and the first race of the night set a thrilling tone for the evening.
Candyce Martins, driving Smart Machine, won Heat One of the 1:04/0 & Faster Time Bar Class in a blistering time of 1:01&3. Martins’ impressive performance came within a fraction of a second of the track record of 1:01&1.
Robert Lopes, driving War Machine, finished second in 1:02&4, while Andrea Westerfield and Special Gold took third place with a time of 1:03 flat. The near record-breaking time from Martins promises an exciting season ahead for harness pony racing enthusiasts.
