Football: Kane Crichlow Scores Hat-Trick
Bermuda forward Kane Crichlow scored a hat-trick in Chelmsford City’s 4-3 win away to Farnborough in the Vanarama National League South today [February 8].
Crichlow, who has scored nine goals this season, netted in the 20th minute to make it 1-1 before adding his second, hitting a superb volley into the top corner in the 42nd minute to give his side the lead.
He completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minute to make it 4-2,
Crichlow, 24, said he was delighted to help his team claim a valuable three points.
“It was a good game for us,” he said in a video interview. “I think we were the better team.
“The main thing was to get the three points and, hopefully, we can go on a run after this.”
When asked about his sublime strike for his second goal, Crichlow added: “I just thought, ‘I’ll shoot and see where the ball goes’. It was a good goal!”
Chelmsford are twelfth in the league with 41 points from 31 matches.
