Team Announced For President’s Youth Cup
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced the Under-15 school select team that will be participating in the President’s Youth National Cup in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
A spokesperson said, “The U15 school select will play four [4] 40-over matches starting Friday, February 14th through February 17th.
“The coaching staff will consist of Head Coach Courtney Trott and assistant coaches Davon Govia and Lorin Tannock. The team will be complimented with three [3] additional players from the USA.
“The U15 School Select team will consist of the following members:
- Zaki Gibbons-DeShields
- Kodi Hinds
- Ethan Adderley
- Quincy Ratteray
- Kruz Iris
- A’Jhi Smith
- Romari Ruddock
- Logie Fletcher
- Zion Smith Joell
- Courtney Trott – Head Coach – BCB Youth [School] Development Officer
- Davon Govia – Assistant Coach – Cedar Bridge Academy
- Lorin Tannock – Assistant Coach – Saltus Grammar School
- 3 Players from the USA”
BCB Executive Director Calvin Blankendal stated, “The BCB extends our sincerest appreciation to the parents, coaches, players and participating schools. This tour is possible through a partnership with the Department of Sport & Recreation & the Bermuda Cricket Board to encourage the playing of cricket in our schools and community clubs. Our collective objective is to make this tour an annual event in the youth & school cricketing calendar. The U15 age group is an important component to the future of our U19 national team and domestic cricket leagues.”
