Asia Hollis Wins Two Matches For Wheaton
Sophomore Asia Hollis delivered a stellar performance, securing two crucial victories to lead her Wheaton College [Mass.] women’s tennis teammates to a 4-3 win over host Colby-Sawyer College at the Boss Tennis Center on the campus of Dartmouth College.
Hollis’s contribution was instrumental in Wheaton College’s narrow victory, showcasing her talent in both doubles and singles play.
In the doubles competition, Hollis partnered with Laila Haraj-Sai at number two doubles. The pair demonstrated strong teamwork and secured a vital win for the Lyons, defeating Colby-Sawyer senior Isabella Gutierrez Avendaño and sophomore Maria Espinosa Lopez with a score of 6-4.
Hollis then carried her winning form into the singles competition. Playing at fourth singles, she secured a straight-sets victory over senior Elise Hogan of Colby-Sawyer College, winning 6-4, 6-3.
