Ball Hockey: Spine & Sport Defeat ACT
Spine & Sport defeated ACT 9-5 in a Bermuda ball hockey match, overcoming a three-goal deficit.
The contest featured 14 goals, all scored within the first two periods. ACT initially led 3-2 after the first period.
Satish Balendran opened scoring for ACT, followed by Randy Elgersma’s equalizer for Spine & Sport. Bill McClure then scored for ACT, with Jeremy Estey responding for Spine & Sport. Adam Mattatall scored ACT’s third goal.
In the second period, McClure scored his second goal, and Townie Jackson added a fifth for ACT, establishing a 5-2 lead. Spine & Sport then scored seven consecutive goals.
Ross Rufiage scored a hat-trick for Spine & Sport. Estey scored three additional goals, completing a four-goal game. Ryan Marshall scored the seventh goal in Spine & Sport’s comeback.
