Prior to her assignment to Bermuda, Ms. Hurtado served as the Diplomat in Residence for the Southwest region, recruiting the next generation of American professionals and students in Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico for U.S. Department of State careers and student programs.”
Ms. Hurtado said, “I am honored and excited to serve as the next U.S. Consul General to Bermuda and I look forward to working alongside the dedicated and talented team at the Consulate. I extend my sincere gratitude to Mr. Vanja Vukota for his leadership in this role until my appointment was confirmed. The United States and Bermuda have a four centuries-long history and partnership, and I look forward to strengthening that relationship and collaborating to advance our shared interests.”
The spokesperson said, “Ms. Hurtado is from Southern California. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University. She has studied Spanish, Portuguese [Brazilian], and Italian. Ms. Hurtado will arrive in Bermuda on March 27.”
She should do well. Hope she settles in with the Bermuda team.
But Trump! Trump! Will there be demonstrations outside the US Consulate because she works for President Trump?
Check it out! Herschel Walker was nominated by President Trump to be Ambassador to the Bahamas.
She’s a career diplomat and not some political clown. I’m sure if he nominated someone awful then we’d be protesting.
“we’d be protesting”
You can protest. I will not. I do not want to be placed on the “stop list”.
