Governor Andrew Murdoch met with Rear Admiral Tim Woods CBE and a UK defence team to discuss military support.

Government House posted the photo online below, and said, “It was great to welcome Rear Admiral Tim Woods CBE, the Defence Attaché from Washington, D.C., along with some of his staff, and a colleague from the Ministry of Defence, London.

“The team visited Bermuda to advise the Governor on defence matters, as well as, support the Royal Bermuda Regiment [RBR]. The visit was a good opportunity for the RBR to discuss ways the UK can continue to assist, including through the provision of training, logistical support and capacity building.

“The visit included time at Warwick Camp and the Coastguard station at Scenic House. The discussions also included ways for the RBR to prepare for, and contribute to, the refresh of the 2014 Security and Defence Review announced in the Throne Speech.

“The UK defence team also met with the Defence Board, and the Minister of National Security.”
