HPWC Seeks Donations For Security Upgrade
HPWC is aiming to enhance safety by upgrading its security camera system with AI-powered features and extended storage, seeking $5,000 in donations to support the project.
A spokesperson said, “The HPWC community is taking its next step towards improving safety with a much-needed upgrade to its security camera system. The new system will provide additional cameras, higher resolution footage, extended storage, and AI-driven features such as person detection and license plate recognition.
“During a recent meeting, Executive and Management members discussed replacing the current system, which offers limited coverage and only short-term footage retention. The proposed Network Video Recorder [NVR] and new AI powered cameras will provide 30 days of footage storage and enhanced monitoring of key community areas, including the parking lot, Recreation room, and common spaces.
“To fully fund this effort, HPWC is seeking $5,000 in donations to cover the costs of equipment and installation.”
“This upgrade will significantly enhance our ability to keep our community safe,” said Nandi Outerbridge, President of HPWC. “With additional cameras, longer storage times and advanced monitoring features, we can better protect our shared spaces.”
The spokesperson said, “Community members are encouraged to donate and help make this project a reality. Donations will be used exclusively to purchase and install the new security system components as funds become available.
