Gayle Lindsay Runner-Up In World Masters
Gayle Lindsay has claimed a silver medal in the women’s individual 10k at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Gainesville, Florida, yesterday [March 29].
Lindsay finished fifth overall and runner-up in the 35 to 39 division in 36min 34sec.
“Delighted to be World Masters 10k silver medallist!” Lindsay wrote on social media.
“A very proud moment in my running journey and such an incredibly inspiring event.
“Such an awesome event and so inspiring seeing athletes aged from 35 to 100-plus competing together.”
Also representing Bermuda was Dem Salter in the 45 to 49 division, placing 57th overall in 46:10.
Lindsay claimed top honours in the women’s race in the Ray Swan Flat 8K last weekend.
