Ball Hockey: Appleby & BDA Spirits Win

The PCC Hockey Rink was the scene of another Bermuda ball hockey winter league double-header, with a total of 24 goals scored in two action-packed matches.

Appleby 7 – Hamilton Princess 2

Appleby dominated the opening match, securing a convincing 7-2 victory over Hamilton Princess. After a scoreless first period, Appleby exploded into action in the second, establishing a commanding 5-0 lead. Chris Merritt led the charge with a hat-trick, while Nathan Ische added two goals.

Appleby continued their scoring spree in the third period, with goals from Jordan Gunter and Ische, who completed his hat-trick. Hamilton Princess, refused to go down without a fight. Richard Campbell and Riley Latour each found the back of the net, but Appleby’s lead proved insurmountable.

BDA Spirits 8 – ACT 7

The nightcap delivered even more drama, with BDA Spirits and ACT engaging in a thrilling, high-scoring affair that saw a total of 15 goals scored. BDA Spirits ultimately edged out ACT with an 8-7 victory.

BDA Spirits’ goals came from Anddrew Bonner and Jean-michael Tremblay, who each scored twice, and Jeff Loper, Ryan Bates, Chris Lemieux, and Stefan Chamberland, who each contributed a goal. ACT’s goals were scored by Mike Travis and Adam Mattatall, who each netted two, and Townie Jackson, Colin Long, and Ian Beaudoin, who each added a goal.
