Single Vehicle Collision In Smith’s Parish
There was a single vehicle collision involving a police motorcycle in Smith’s Parish.
A police spokesperson said, “There has been a serious, single vehicle road traffic collision involving a police motorcycle near the junction of Paynters Road and Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s Parish.
“Eastbound traffic is being diverted along Paynters Road.
“Westbound traffic is being diverted at Shark Hole Hill back along Harrington Sound Road to North Shore Road.
“It is anticipated the roadway will be closed for an extended period while the scene is processed.
“Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to get to their destinations.”
Update: The police said, “The roadway has been reopened to regular traffic flow. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.”
