2025 Softball League Season Continues
The Michael Preece Softball Diamond witnessed another night of action as the Bermuda softball season delivered a run-filled triple header, with 74 runs scored across the three games.
The opening match set the tone for the evening, as Bat & Bougie dominated the B&V Sliders, securing a resounding 17-2 victory. Bat & Bougie’s offensive firepower proved too much for the Sliders, with Jez Burrows leading the charge. Burrows enjoyed a phenomenal night at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, two triples, and four RBIs. Despite the Sliders’ struggles, Aeysha Simons managed a 1-for-3 performance with an RBI.
Game two provided an even greater spectacle of offensive prowess, as the Odd Balls edged out the Slug Pirates in a thrilling 20-17 encounter. Dean McNulty was the star for the Odd Balls, going 4-for-6 with two home runs and five RBIs. However, Matt Dulaney of the Slug Pirates matched McNulty’s power display, hitting two home runs and driving in six runs in a 2-for-5 performance. The sheer volume of runs highlighted the attacking intent of both teams, making for an enthralling contest.
The final game of the night saw the One Hit Wonders overcome the BGA Hammers in a closely contested 10-8 victory. Andrew Bento’s impressive 4-for-5 performance, including a triple and four RBIs, proved crucial for the One Hit Wonders. For the Hammers, Jackee Simons shone, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, and an RBI. Despite Simons’ efforts, the One Hit Wonders held on for the win.
