“Bermudians deserve leadership that is focused on solutions and the future, not desperate attempts to score cheap political points,” the PLP said.

A spokesperson said, “The Progressive Labour Party notes the latest political stunt by the Opposition Leader, who once again chooses partisan attacks over constructive dialogue on the issues that matter to the people of Bermuda.

“At a time when Bermudians are looking for real solutions to the cost of living, affordable housing, and economic growth, the Opposition has made it clear that their priority is not progress, and not solutions but political grandstanding.

“Bermudians deserve leadership that is focused on solutions and the future, not desperate attempts to score cheap political points.

“The PLP remains fully focused on delivering for the people of Bermuda and will not not be entertaining distractions from an Opposition that has no vision, no plan, and that seems to be more interested in destruction than collaboration.

“On Friday, the Governor will read our Throne Speech, which will highlight legislation and initiatives that will be introduced during the next legislative term; items to better the lives of Bermudians. It is these items that the public are interested in, not the distracting utterances of the opposition leader.

“Our newly elected government will continue the real work of making life better for Bermudians – lowering costs for families, expanding economic opportunities and building towards a fairer Bermuda for all of us.”
