Sanshou Team Set For Phoenix Wushu Nationals

A strong contingent of six athletes from the Bermuda Sanshou Association is poised to compete at the prestigious Phoenix Wushu Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona. The team is ready to showcase their skills and represent Bermuda on the national stage.

Flying the flag for Bermuda are Kaelin Cox, Krista Dyer, Errin Cann, Muryah Swan, Geraldine Sidders, and Jacob Goodwin. The athletes will be participating in various disciplines of Wushu, demonstrating the diversity and depth of talent within the Bermuda Sanshou Association.

Krista Dyer, Muryah Swan, Geraldine Sidders, and Jacob Goodwin will be competing in Sanda, the full-contact combat sport within Wushu. Their training and dedication will be put to the test as they face opponents from across the United States.

Kaelin Cox, Errin Cann, and Geraldine Sidders will also be showcasing their skills in Taolu, the forms or routines discipline of Wushu. Taolu emphasizes precision, artistry, and athleticism.

The Bermuda Sanshou Association is also sending a strong support team to the Phoenix Wushu Nationals. Nolette Webb and Shaun Richards will be officiating at the event, demonstrating Bermuda’s commitment to the sport at all levels. Garon Wilkinson, Jecoa Burrows, Q Robinson, and Che Beane will be serving as coaches, providing guidance and support to the athletes.
