Traffic Advisory For BBA Time Trial Road Race
A traffic notice has been issued for the Bermuda Bicycle Association VT Construction Team Time Trial Road Race will occur on Sunday, March 16.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment wishes to inform motorists that the Bermuda Bicycle Association VT Construction Team Time Trial Road Race will occur on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, between 7:30 am and 9:00 am.
“The following roads will be affected:
Race Route:
“The bicycle race commences and concludes at the Clearwater carpark. The participants exit the carpark and head North onto Cooper’s Island Road. They proceed to the roundabout and take the first exit onto Southside Road. They continue on Southside Road, traverse the roundabout, and take the third exit onto Lower Gates Road. The participants turn left onto St. David’s Road and continue to the Swing Bridge roundabout. They exit onto Kindley Field Road, proceed to the Airport roundabout, and exit onto The Causeway. They traverse Blue Hole Hill and make a U-Turn at the Blue Hole Hill roundabout. The participants continue onto The Causeway to the Airport Roundabout, where they exit onto Kindley Field Road. They head to the Swing Bridge Roundabout, exit onto St. David’s Road, and continue until turning right onto Pepper Hall Road. They turn right onto Tommy Fox Road, left onto Pepper Hall Road and head to the roundabout. At the roundabout, the participants exit onto Cooper’s Island Road and head to the finish line at the Clearwater carpark.
Traffic Control:
“The bicycle race will commence on Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at 7:30 am and is expected to conclude by 9:00 am. Race Marshals will be present to direct traffic along the route. All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with the race participants. Motorists are asked to follow the instructions given by the Race Marshals to assist with traffic control for this event.
Road Closure:
“There will be no road closures for this event.
“The Ministry of Public Works and Environment wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result. Should there be any questions regarding this event, please direct queries to the attention of the race representative, Dominique Mayo, at 599-2993.
“In addition, the Bermuda police are hereby authorised to “Close off” streets or portions of streets and authorise parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
