Kempe & Penruddocke Racing On Day Two

Bermudian sailors Sebastian Kempe and Adriana Penruddocke returned to action on day two of the Troféo Princesa Sofía Mallorca by Fergus Hotels on the Bay of Palma, Spain.

The wind speed on the racecourses struggled to reach even one or two knots, leading to postponements for the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 fleets, before racing eventually got underway.

Kempe in ILCA 7 Fleet

Kempe, competing in the 174-boat ILCA 7 fleet, dropped from 28th to 34th place with 39 net points.

In the first race of the day, and the third of the series, Kempe finished seventeenth.

The second race of the day, he crossing the line in 27th place.

Penruddocke in ILCA 6 Fleet

Penruddocke is competing in the 113-boat ILCA 6 fleet. She finished the day with 44 net points, dropping from fourteenth to 28th overall.

Penruddocke finished in 22nd place in the first race of the day. She finished 37th in the second race.

The Troféo Princesa Sofía Mallorca by Fergus Hotels is a crucial event for sailors aiming for Olympic qualification.
