Bermuda Defeated By US In Cayman Islands
The Bermuda national cricket team lost to the United States by ten wickets in the semi-finals of the North America Cup at the Jimmy Powell Oval in the Cayman Islands yesterday [April 26].
Having won the toss, Bermuda elected to bat, with opener Marcus Scotland anchoring the innings, scoring 57 not out off 57 balls, including three boundaries.
Fellow opener Alex Dore provided hit 14 off just eight balls with a four and a six, contributing to an opening stand of 27 in just 2.3 overs.
However, the US bowlers, led by Milind Kumar who claimed two wickets for just six runs in his two overs, restricted Bermuda to a total of 114 for seven in their allotted overs.
In reply, the United States chased down the target without losing a wicket in 14.2 overs.
Derrick Brangman the most economical of the Bermuda bowlers conceding just 23 runs in his four overs.
