Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Win In Cup
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island defeated Westchester SC 4-1 away in the first round of the Jägermeister Cup yesterday [April 27].
Rhode Island, of the USL Championship, are a league above Westchester, who play in the USL League One.
Smith’s side are playing in the Jägermeister Cup for the first time.
A former Bermuda captain and New England Revolution winger, Smith made history in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural season.
