The Bermuda Pacers Track Club in conjunction with title sponsor AIG will host the 16th Annual Schools’ Relay Classic at the Flora Duffy Stadium on Friday [May 2].

More than 350 students from 24 primary, middle and senior schools will compete in the event, which starts at 5.30pm.

It is the seventh year AIG has sponsored school event, where schools will not only compete for bragging rights, but for $3,600 to go towards their athletic programmes.

The winning schools will also receive Relay Classic trophies.

Local senior men’s and women’s football clubs have also been invited to compete in a 4×100 metres relay at 6.15pm.

The only stipulation is that there must be at least four club teams competing in each category.

The highlight of the evening will be the 4×100 metre finals.
