BEDC Incubator Program Graduation Ceremony
The BEDC celebrated the graduation of their latest Enterprise Bermuda Incubator cohort, with Janee Pitt, Lornette Furbert, Razia Billoo, Micah, Dana Selassie, Rhea Gibbons, Kendal Trott, Keile Rabain, and Marcus Rewan all completing the program.
A spokesperson said, “On Thursday, April 3rd, 2025, the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] proudly celebrated the graduation of the 6th Cohort of the Enterprise Bermuda Incubator [EBI] Program. The event, held at Four Ways Inn, gathered over 40 guests including BEDC Board members, team members, mentors, family, and friends, all commemorating the achievements and growth of the newest cohort of entrepreneurs.
“The evening began with inspiring opening remarks from the Minister of Economy & Labour, Jason Hayward, who emphasized, “Each of you has demonstrated the dedication and ambition necessary to build businesses that contribute to the strength of our economy. Your perseverance and drive embody the entrepreneurial spirit that we seek to foster in Bermuda.”
“The graduating entrepreneurs of the 2024 EBI cohort included Janee Pitt of Tassel Bermuda; Lornette Furbert of The Pit Stop; Razia Billoo of aRDee; Micah of Breeze Air Conditioning & Major Appliances; Dana Selassie of Buquila Bermuda; Rhea Gibbons of Realising-the-Inbetween Art Therapy Services; Kendal Trott of Content Space BDA; Keile Rabain of Summer by Keile; and Marcus Rewan of Special Misfits.
“Originally launched as a pilot in 2018, Enterprise Bermuda has evolved significantly, continuing to deliver structured support, mentorship, and resources to entrepreneurs. Through an essential partnership with the Accelerator Centre [AC], the BEDC leverages world-class mentorship and training that positions local entrepreneurs for success both domestically and internationally.”
Mickey Campeau, Director of Programs & Founder Experience at Accelerator Centre, shared: “Our partnership with the BEDC has been strong and mutually beneficial, and we look forward to exploring future opportunities together. It’s been rewarding to help Bermudian entrepreneurs embrace the island’s unique qualities and scale their businesses. We’re excited for what’s next.”
The event concluded with closing remarks from Erica Smith, BEDC Executive Director, who emphasized BEDC’s ongoing support. She stated, “Although your formal participation in the incubator has concluded, our commitment to your continued success remains strong. BEDC is here to support you at every step, offering guidance and resources as your businesses develop further.”
