Easter Lilies To Be Sent To King Charles III
Governor Andrew Murdoch participated in his first official picking of Easter Lilies, which will be sent via British Airways to King Charles III.
Government House posted the photos below, and said, “Yesterday the Governor, Andrew Murdoch, participated in his first official picking of Easter Lilies, a cherished annual tradition of selecting lilies as a floral gift for His Majesty The King.
“This year the lilies were hand-picked from the beautiful Windy Bank Farms and departed on yesterday’s British Airways [BA] flight to London. The Easter Lilies arrived safely at Windsor Castle today, in time for Good Friday, April 18, 2025.
“Thanks to Malcom and Benn Smith, the BA team and Department of Environment and Natural Resources for facilitating this long-standing tradition.”
