Softball: Bat & Bougie & One Hit Wonders Win
The Michael Preece Softball Diamond hosted a high-scoring double-header as the local softball league season progressed. A total of 75 runs were scored across the two games.
In the first game, Bat & Bougie defeated the B&V Sliders 21-9. Liam Evans led Bat & Bougie’s offense, going 4-for-5 with a triple, a home run, and four runs batted in [4RBI’s]. Matthew Hayward also contributed significantly, going 4-for-5 with four runs batted in [4RBI’s]. For the B&V Sliders, Daemon Hanley hit a home run and recorded three runs batted in [3RBI’s], going 1-for-3.
The second game saw One Hit Wonders triumph over the BGA Hammers in a high-scoring affair, 25-20. Sam Vieira led One Hit Wonders at the plate, going 4-for-5 with two home runs and five runs batted in [5RBI’s]. Despite the loss for the BGA Hammers, Dujuan Simons had a strong offensive performance, going 4-for-5 with two doubles and three runs batted in [3RBI’s].
