Temporary Road Closure On Brighton Hill

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced that new speed humps will be installed on Brighton Hill, with a temporary road closure from April 9 to 10.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment advises the motoring public and pedestrians that new speed humps will be installed on Brighton Hill, near The School House Nursery, between Middle Road and Watlington Road East in Devonshire Parish.

“These essential works will require a temporary road closure from Wednesday, 09th April 2025, through Thursday, 10th April 2025. Rain day works will be Tuesday, 15th through Wednesday, 16th April. Working hours will be weekdays from 7:30 am through to 4:00 pm.

“Traffic will be detoured via Watlington Road West and Watlington Road East. Access for residents will be granted throughout this stretch.

“Traffic controls will be under the direction of Ministry of Public Works & Environment representatives with barricades, signs, cones and traffic lights.

“The Ministry of Public Works & Environment encourages the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
