‘The Science Behind 4Twenty’ Summit On April 19
The Bermuda Cannabis Association and CariGenetics will host ‘The Science Behind 4Twenty’ summit on April 19th.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Cannabis Association, in partnership with CariGenetics, is proud to announce the launch of The Science Behind 4Twenty, a public education summit set to take place at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] on 19 April 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
“This unique and informative event will dive into the science of cannabis, its interaction with human genetics, and how personalised medicine can shape the future of health and wellness across the Caribbean. Following recent reports highlighting that legal recreational hemp products have contributed to 10% of emergency room admissions among young people, The Science Behind 4Twenty event aims to educate with science on a range of related topics through expert panels.
“Building on the success of CariGenetics’ Caribbean Cannabis Genomics Pilot Study, using its cannabis metabolism test 4Twenty, this initiative aims to share recent data insights that show key genetic differences in how people of Caribbean ancestry metabolise THC and CBD. The event will also explore the implications of these findings for pain management, sleep, mental health, and overall wellness.
