Bermuda’s cricket leagues witnessed a day of varied outcomes in both the Premier and First Divisions.
In Premier Division action, Somerset Cricket Club defeated Bailey’s Bay by 20 runs at home. Somerset posted 183 for 3, with Jermal Proctor scoring a rapid 92 (16 fours). Bailey’s Bay were bowled out for 163, despite Coolidge Durham’s 52. Dominic Sabir took 3 for 29 for Somerset.
St. George’s Cricket Club recorded an 8-wicket victory over Cleveland County at Wellington Oval. Jonte Smith’s 3 for 11 helped restrict Cleveland to 83 for 9. St. George’s reached their target at 84 for 2, with Macai Simmons hitting an unbeaten 46.
At Lord’s, St. David’s Cricket Club secured a 5-wicket win against Devonshire Recreation Club. Devonshire scored 116 for 7 (Kevon Fubler 2 for 16), while St. David’s replied with 120 for 5, Marcus Scotland scoring 42. Allan Douglas took 3 for 12 for Devonshire.
In First Division matches, Southampton Rangers claimed a 70-run victory over PHC at Lord’s. Rangers posted 159 for 8 (Dion Stovell 51), and PHC were restricted to 89 for 9 (Makai Jacobs 5 for 14).
The match between Willow Cuts and Warwick Workmen’s Club at Somerset Cricket Club was abandoned. had scored 170 for 2 (Deunte Darrell 46 not out), while Warwick were 53 for 2 when the game was halted.
Somerset Bridge achieved a narrow 4-run victory over Flatt’s Victoria at Wellington Oval. Somerset Bridge scored 103 for 7 (Cadence Douglas 21 not out), and Flatt’s fell short at 99 for 7 (Jermaine Clarke 48). Swayne Raynor took 2 for 13 for Somerset Bridge.
