Boxer Saundre Simmons Defeats Tahlik Taylor
[Updated with video] Bermudian boxer Saundre “Dash” Simmons maintained his perfect record after stopping American Tahlik Taylor in the first round in Concord, North Carolina, on Saturday [May 17].
Simmons, who dropped to light-heavyweight for the four-round contest, has won all seven of his professional bouts.
His journeyman opponent [7-29-2] showed some intent early on before Simmons ruthlessly floored him after landing two stinging body shots and a powerful right hand.
“He had a few flurries, but I got him out of there in the first round,” Simmons told Bernews.
“It was a good performance. I can always find micro things to improve upon – that’s the professional in me.
“I came and did my job. My confidence is growing.”
