Montgomery’s Knights Defeated In Game 1
Ice hockey player Blake Montgomery and the London Knights lost 4-2 at home to the Oshawa Generals in Game 1 of the Ontario Hockey League final yesterday [May 8].
Oshawa took the lead in the best-of-seven series for the J. Ross Robertson Cup.
Montgomery joined the Knights on an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement in November last year.
Drafted by National Hockey League team the Ottawa Senators in June last year, Montgomery spent the previous two seasons with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL.
The Knights, who face the Generals in Game 2 tomorrow, finished top of the Western Conference, having won 55 of their 66 regular season matches.
