Mullet Bay Road Lane Closure Continues
The Ministry of Public Works and Environment has issued a reminder about the ongoing lane closure along Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s, where roadwork continues as part of paving preparations expected to last through July 11, 2025.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works and Environment reminds the public of the ongoing lane closure along Mullet Bay Road in St. George’s, from York Street to Ferry Road.
“This amended notice serves as a continuation of previously announced roadwork related to road paving preparations in the area.
“Work began on Monday, 12 May 2025, and is expected to continue until Friday, 11 July 2025. The project involves installing concrete collars around existing manhole covers ahead of full road paving.
“Motorists are advised to drive slowly and cautiously through the affected area. Cones positioned in the middle of the lane near the ongoing collar work may partially obstruct vehicles passing through.
“As there is no available detour, delays are anticipated. Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.”

Why can,t this work be carried out at night when there is less to no traffic?
Because then it would not be obvious that the PLP Government is getting something done.
