Primary School Championship Day 1 Results

The first day of the 2025 BSSF Primary School Track and Field Championships was held, with some of the island’s top young athletes in action.

In the Girls 200 Meter Dash U9, Giselle Reid-Rubaine from Harrington Sound was the top performer in the preliminaries. For the Boys 200 Meter Dash U9, Theodore Smith, also from Harrington Sound, had the best preliminary time. Rayven Weeks of Harrington Sound led the Girls 200 Meter Dash U10 preliminaries, while Shammaah Darko from Warwick Academy was fastest in the Boys 200 Meter Dash U10 preliminaries. Aalirah Daniels from Harrington Sound had the top preliminary time in the Girls 200 Meter Dash 010, and Zavion Trott of Prospect Primary led the Boys 200 Meter Dash 010 preliminaries.

Diamond Morris from Saltus Grammar was the top qualifier in the Girls 800 Meter Run U9 preliminaries, and Nolan Horrobin, also from Saltus Grammar, led the Boys 800 Meter Run U9 preliminaries. Caeli-Grace Dixon of Bermuda Institute had the best preliminary time in the Girls 800 Meter Run U10, while Ethan Anderson from Port Royal was the top qualifier in the Boys 800 Meter Run U10 preliminaries. Zaya Cann-Berkley of West End Primary led the Girls 800 Meter Run 010 preliminaries, and Khaleef Daley from Francis Patton was the fastest in the Boys 800 Meter Run 010 preliminaries.

For the relays, Harrington Sound ‘A’ had the top time in the Girls 4×100 Meter Relay U9 preliminaries, and Harrington Sound ‘A’ also led the Boys 4×100 Meter Relay U9 preliminaries. BHS ‘A’ was the fastest in the Girls 4×100 Meter Relay U10 preliminaries.

In field events, Aalirah Daniels from Harrington Sound and Jordyn Lewis from BHS shared the top preliminary mark in the Girls Long Jump 010. Khaleef Daley of Francis Patton had the best preliminary jump in the Boys Long Jump 010. Elan Samuels from BHS was the top performer in the Girls High Jump 1.0SH U10 preliminaries. Kimori Azzario-Woods from Purvis Primary and Jahni Burch from St. George’s Prep shared the top height in the Boys High Jump 1.0SH 010 preliminaries. Issac Metschnabel of Saltus Grammar had the best preliminary throw in the Boys Javelin Throw Cricket Ball U10, and Kierra Broadley-Samuels from St. George’s Prep. led the Girls Javelin Throw Cricket Ball 010 preliminaries.
