Registration Open For ‘QuickBooks 101′ Course
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC], in partnership with Abacus Ltd., is now accepting registrations for QuickBooks 101—a four-week course designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs build confidence in managing their business finances using QuickBooks Online.
A spokesperson said, “The course will run from June 10th to July 1st, with weekly sessions every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:15pm at the BEDC Main Office, located on the 1st Floor of Sofia House, 48 Church Street, Hamilton.
“Over the four weeks, participants will be introduced to the essentials of setting up their business in QuickBooks, navigating the platform efficiently, managing financial transactions, and using reporting tools to gain insights into their company’s performance. Each session is designed to build practical skills that can be immediately applied to real business operations.
“By the end of the program, participants will be able to use QuickBooks Online to track income and expenses more effectively, maintain accurate and organized financial records, and make informed decisions to support long-term business growth.”
Lennox Cumberbatch, Director of Accounting Services at Abacus, shared his support for the program, stating, “We’re excited to collaborate with BEDC to deliver a course that can transform how business owners approach their finances. Understanding QuickBooks is essential for any successful business, and this course aims to make that easier than ever.”
The spokesperson said, “The course fee is $350 for BEDC-registered businesses and entrepreneurs, and $375 for the general public or non-registered businesses. While participants are encouraged to have already purchased QuickBooks Online, support will be provided during the course for those needing assistance with setup. Please note that the software is not included in the course fee.
“Registration is now open. Those interested in improving their financial systems and gaining hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online are encouraged to register early at www.bedc.bm, call 292-5570, or email info@bedc.bm to secure a spot.”
