Sailing: Elton Millet & Fitted Dinghy Results
St. George’s Harbour was a hive of sailing activity this weekend, hosting both the Elton Millet Memorial Regatta for the comet class and the opening day of the 2025 Fitted Dinghy race season.
In the comet class, four races were contested, with Quinton Simons and Greg Proctor sailing Stir de Pot to a well-earned victory, finishing with a low score of 5 points. Gladwin Lambert and his crew Stefan Maybury secured second place overall with 6 points. Completing the podium was the team of Zaniko Hendrickson and his crew Zane Hendrickson, sailing Silent Rage, who finished with 7 points.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Fitted Dinghy race season got underway in the same St. George’s Harbour, with the St. George’s Dinghy & Sports Club hosting the opening day’s action.
The Heritage Trophy race, the first event of the day, saw Royal Bermuda Yacht Club’s “Contest III” emerge victorious. The Anniversary Cup race followed, with Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club’s “Elizabeth II” claiming the win. The final race of the day, the Leon D. Fox Cup, once again saw “Contest III” triumph, making it a successful day for the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club entry.
The skipper duties onboard “Contest III” were shared between Josh Greenslade and Rachel Betschart. Mikey Wollman helmed the “Elizabeth II” to victory in the Anniversary Cup. Alan Frith and Maxwell Curtis shared the skipper duties aboard the St. George’s Dinghy and Sports Club’s “Victory IV,” while Olympian Sebastian Kempe took the helm for all three races on Sandys Boat Club’s “Challenger II.”
