Softball: One Hit, BGA & Bat And Bougie Win
Another triple header at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond produced a total of 76 runs as offensive power was on full display in the Bermuda Softball League.
The opening game featured a decisive 24-8 victory for the One Hit Wonders over the B&V Sliders. Nathan Samuels led the One Hit Wonders’ offense, going 3 for 5 with two home runs and six RBIs. Joe Barroso also contributed significantly, going 4 for 4 with two home runs and five RBIs. For the B&V Sliders, Melody Rand had two RBIs, going 2 for 4.
The second game resulted in a 19-10 win for the BGA Hammers against the Slug Pirates. Andre Carr was a key player for the Hammers, going 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, and four RBIs. Teammate Aaron Bloom also went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs. Matt Dalaney hit a double and a home run with two RBIs for the Slug Pirates, going 2 for 3.
The final game of the night saw Bat & Bougie defeat the Odd Balls 9-8 in a close contest. Jez Burrows contributed a triple and two RBIs for Bat & Bougie, going 2 for 4. Despite a solo home run and two RBIs from Jeff Chisnall for the Odd Balls in his 1 for 4 outing, it was not enough to secure the win.
