Softball: Platano Power & Paraquet Flyers Win
Platano Power dominated a three-game slate of Bermuda Softball League action at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond, securing two high-scoring victories on a night that saw 57 total runs scored.
Platano Power vs. Ragga Muffins
Platano Power defeated the Ragga Muffins 16-8 in a high-scoring contest at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond. Platano Power’s offense was led by Jorgito Catalino, who went 4-for-4 with two home runs and five runs batted in. David Jones of the Ragga Muffins also had a notable performance, going 4-for-4 with two home runs and four runs batted in.
Platano Power vs. Southampton Rangers
In their second game, Platano Power secured a 23-10 victory over the Southampton Rangers. Catalino continued his offensive output, going 4-for-4 with a double, two home runs, and four runs batted in. The Southampton Rangers’ Charles Trott went 4-for-4 with a home run and three runs batted in.
Ragga Muffins vs. Paraquet Flyers
The Paraquet Flyers defeated the Ragga Muffins 12-7 in the final game. Lewis Reynoso of the Flyers drove in three runs on a 2-for-3 performance. For the Ragga Muffins, David Trott accounted for three runs batted in, hitting one home run on a 2-for-3 outing.
