Sailors Win Race At Team Racing Worlds
The Bermuda team secured its second victory of the 2025 Team Racing World Championship in Rhode Island, defeating Gamla Stans YS of Sweden, though strong winds later forced the abandonment of racing for the day.
The winds prompted the Race Committee to halt competition at 3:00 p.m. after an initial postponement at 12:30 p.m. The Bermudian contingent includes Sophie Dias, Alan Frith, Trystan Hocking, Katrina Williams, Benn Smith, Meghan Sherwin, Julia Lines, and Jason Saints.
Race officials plan to complete most of the second round robin and begin elimination rounds on the next scheduled race day.
