BTOA Launches Connect Transport Services
The Bermuda Taxi Owners and Operators Association [BTOA] has launched BTOA Connect Transport Services, the island’s “first driver-led digital dispatch and booking platform.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Taxi Owners and Operators Association is proud to announce the official launch of BTOA Connect Transport Services, Bermuda’s first purpose-built, driver-led digital dispatch and booking platform. This forward-thinking initiative puts the power back in the hands of both passengers and the professional taxi drivers who keep the island moving.
“With the launch of BTOA Connect, customers can now enjoy a smarter, faster, and more transparent way to book a taxi. Whether you’re a resident commuting daily, a hotel concierge booking for guests, or a visitor needing an airport pickup or scenic island tour, BTOA Connect brings transport solutions right to your fingertips via the web, app, or concierge portal, without the need to call dispatchers or wait endlessly on hold.”

Just another attempt which will more than likely fail.
Without a cultural change these will not work! the mindset of the taxi industry needs to change.
Taxi’s need to accept the fairs regardless of location/distance. They are just not “hungry” enough
Why is it that Bermuda has still not signed the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic? Why would we support taxi drivers while they stand in the way of this? What is the government doing about it?
Wow we saved humanity !! Lol
So not so long ago it cost us $35 plus tip to get home to Paget from the Airport…..then with the long awaited increase it went up to $45 plus tip…..now with this magic service it’s $65…..plus tip
I will NOT be using this !
CAN WE PLEASE GET CREDIT CARD MACHINES IN ALL TAXIS….still living in the stone age. Get it together ffs not everyone has cash on them!
NO! If transactions are recorded tax will have to be paid! And there will be evidence of how much a taxi driver earns!
Besides, I like the ability to informally exchange Bermuda dollars for U.S. dollars when I get a taxi.
I’d like to assume you’re being sarcastic but be for real this is another reason why we don’t have a tourism product….everyone stuck in the past, including you lmfao!
Tax will have to be paid by whom and to whom?! You mean CC fees? So you don’t want evidence of how much a driver earns? What you afraid of or hiding?!
Can tell you’re an old person lol….
I was being partially sarcastic. Taxi drivers do not have U.S. cash the way they used to because we do not have that many tourists.
As for paying taxes, I was being serious about that.
