Free Ballet Workshops & Performance
From July 12–20, Ravi Cannonier-Watson and six ballet dancers will visit Bermuda to host free workshops for local youth and present a special performance at the Earl Cameron Theatre.
A spokesperson said, “From July 12th to 20th, Bermuda will welcome Ravi Cannonier-Watson alongside six internationally acclaimed ballet artists. During their visit, they will be offering two complimentary dance workshops for local dancers, hosted at Warwick Academy:
Ballet Workshop
Date: Sunday, July 13th
Time: 12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Contemporary Dance Workshop
Date: Saturday, July 19th
Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
“Each session will include a professional-level dance class taught by the visiting artists, followed by a Q&A session where participants can engage with the dancers about their journeys to becoming professionals in the field.
“Workshops are free and open to participants aged 8 and up, and registration is highly recommended. Please register here.
“In addition to the workshops, the visiting artists will present a special community performance on Thursday, July 18th, at the Earl Cameron Theatre, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This unique event will showcase a stunning blend of classical and contemporary ballet works, marking the first time these artists have performed together in this format. It promises to be a memorable evening for Bermuda’s dance community.”
