Cricket: Premier & First Division Results
Southampton Rangers defeated Western Stars by 225 runs at the Sea Breeze Oval in the Premier Division at the weekend.
Rangers scored 309 for the loss of seven wickets, with Nacori Smith scoring 106 runs off 119 balls, including six sixes and five fours.
Brian Hall claimed six wickets for 44.
In reply, Western Stars were 84 all out, with Jaiden Manders top scoring with 32.
Swayne Campbell led Rangers’ bowling attack, taking two wickets for five runs.
Meanwhile, Somerset Cricket Club secured a six-wicket victory over Bailey’s Bay at the Somerset Cricket Club.
Somerset dismissed Bay for 160, with Stephen Outerbridge scoring 25.
Janeiro Tucker took three wickets for 13.
Somerset reached their target, scoring 161 for four, thanks to an unbeaten 75 from Amari Ebbin.
Kyle Hodsoll claimed two wickets for 34.
In the First Division, PHC defeated Devonshire Recreation Club by seven wickets at the Devonshire Rec.
Devonshire, batting first, were bowled out for 78, with Rudell Pitcher scoring 14.
Dionte Dowling claimed five for 23 runs.
PHC chased down the target, scoring 82 for three, led by Davin Dill’s unbeaten 33.
Shaquille Pitcher took two wickets for 32.
Meanwhile, Flatts Victoria defeated Warwick Workmen’s Club by eight wickets at the Southampton Oval.
Warwick were bowled out for 172, with Staphen Dill scoring 54 off 43 balls.
Keegan Jones claimed five wickets for 31.
Flatts made light work of the chase, reaching 173 for two.
Dajon Carey scored with 64 off 75 balls, hitting 11 fours and a six, while Kamau Leverock picked up two wickets for 20.
