Bermudian footballer Logan Jiménez has helped Hibernian Under-17 finish third at the Gonfreville-l’Orcher International Tournament in northern France.

The striker scored two goals and had two assists in the competition.

Jiménez, who recently signed his first professional contract with the Edinburgh side, played a key role in inspiring Hibernian Under-18 claim the Club Academy Scotland Elite Under-18 league title last season.

Gareth Evans, Hibernian FC Academy Director, told the club’s website: “Logan has developed really well since joining the Club and thoroughly deserves his first professional contract. He’s shown great commitment, versatility, and worked incredibly hard to fight his way into our U18s side.

“This is a big milestone for him, but he knows the hard work really starts now. We’re excited to see how he continues to grow within our pathway.”

The Bermuda Under-17 captain played for Scottish Schools’ Under-18 in their home matches against English Schools’ Under-18 and Australia Schools Under-18.
