NeuPathways Aims To Assist Children Learning

NeuPathways — created by Bermudian Chartered Psychologist and Neuroscientist Dr. Adriene Berkeley — is a “new kind of programme designed to help children aged 8 and up build the skills they need to succeed both in and out of school.”

A spokesperson said, “What if the way your child learns has nothing to do with how smart they are, and everything to do with how their brain is wired to think, focus, and process the world around them?

“That’s the idea behind NeuPathways, a new kind of programme designed to help children aged 8 and up build the skills they need to succeed both in and out of school. Created by Bermudian Chartered Psychologist and Neuroscientist Dr. Adriene Berkeley, NeuPathways blends brain science and emotional support to strengthen the foundation of learning itself: the brain.

“Unlike tutoring, which focuses on what to learn, NeuPathways helps children strengthen how they learn. Drawing on research from neuroscience and psychology, the programme trains over 40 core brain functions including attention, memory, and executive functioning while also supporting emotional wellbeing. The result is a meaningful boost in confidence, resilience, and daily learning ability.”

“I created NeuPathways because I’ve seen in both my professional and personal life how hard it can be for children to get the support they truly need,” says Dr. Berkeley. “The missing piece is often the brain itself. Even without a diagnosis, children who simply learn differently can fall behind, and their confidence takes a hit.” “With growing awareness around learning differences and children’s mental health, I believe this programme meets a real need in our community.”

The spokesperson said, “Whether a child struggles to concentrate, retain information, solve problems, or regulate their emotions, NeuPathways is designed to help them feel more capable and in control.

“It supports children with ADHD, specific learning disorders, and other learning differences including challenges with visual and auditory processing. It is equally powerful for those without a formal diagnosis, such as children who learn differently and face challenges in reading, maths, or processing skills.

How the Programme Works

“NeuPathways runs for 12 weeks, with small group sessions held three afternoons a week [Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00 to 5:15 PM]. Each session includes:

  • Cognitive skill-building: Focused training on 40+ core brain skills including attention, memory, auditory and visual processing, sensory integration, executive functioning, and others.
  • Emotional wellbeing: Practical tools to boost confidence, reduce anxiety, and build emotional resilience.

“The programme is designed to support both cognitive growth and emotional development, giving children the tools to learn, reflect, and grow. Small group sizes ensure individual attention while creating space for peer connection and social learning. While attending three days per week is recommended for the most benefit, a two-day option is also available.

“NeuPathways begins this September, with limited spaces available. If your child is facing learning or emotional challenges, or if you simply want to give them a cognitive advantage, this could be the breakthrough that helps them move forward with clarity and confidence.
