Softball: Platano, The Kings & Pitch Invaders Win
A triple-header at the Michael Preece Softball Diamond saw 90 runs scored as the Bermuda softball league season continued.
In the first game, Platano Power defeated the Hakuna Matata Lions 13-12. Albert Acevedo of Platano Power went 4 for 4 at the plate, recording a double, a triple, and 3 RBIs. For the Hakuna Matata Lions, Brian Hall and Kevin Miller each went 3 for 4 with a double, a home run, and 4 RBIs.
The Kings secured a 17-14 victory over the Beach Bums in the second game. Tory Richard led the Kings’ offense, going 3 for 5 with a double, two home runs, and 6 RBIs. Donald Folkland of the Beach Bums went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBIs.
In the final match, the Pitch Invaders defeated the Killa Watts 21-13. Chris Wellman of the Pitch Invaders went 4 for 5 with two home runs and 3 RBIs. Troy Hall of the Killa Watts contributed with a 3 for 4 performance, including a double, a triple, and 5 RBIs.
