Home Dialysis Services Earns Natl Accreditation
Bermuda Home Dialysis Services [BHDS] has been accredited by the National Dialysis Accreditation Commission [NDAC].
A spokesperson said, “NDAC, the only accreditation body in the United States exclusively focused on dialysis, was established by nephrology experts to ensure the highest standards in dialysis care.
“This achievement reflects BHDS’ commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient safety, care, and clinical excellence for individuals living with chronic kidney disease in Bermuda.”
Irena Ashton, co-founder of BHDS, said, “This accreditation affirms our dedication to providing the highest quality dialysis care, whether at our treatment centre or in patients’ homes. It is a testament to our exceptional team and the innovative, patient-centred services we provide.”
The spokesperson said, “The rigorous accreditation process involved an on-site assessment by an NDAC nephrology professional who evaluated BHDS’ facilities, technology, practices, and patient care standards, and met with physicians and nursing staff.”
“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year, this milestone highlights our mission to empower every patient to live as fully and independently as possible through advanced technology and personalised care,” added Ms. Ashton.
