Golfers Continue Caribbean Championships
Four of Bermuda’s junior golfers — Darina Betschart, Arman Newton, Johnny Bart, and Lewis MacFarlane — have completed the second round of play at the 37th Annual Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships.
Darina Betschart leads the girls 11 to 13 division with a nine-shot lead. She shot a two-under par 70 in her second round to move to five-under par for the tournament. Her round included seven birdies, seven pars, three bogies, and one double bogey.
In the boys 18 & under division, Arman Newton is in 9th position after a second-round score of two-over par 74. His round included two birdies, 13 pars, two bogies, and one double bogey. Johnny Bart is in 16th place in the same division after carding a ten-over par 82.
Lewis MacFarlane concluded the second day in 13th place in the boys 11 to 13 division. He posted a 12-over par 84, bringing his tournament total to 29-over par.
