Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Held To Draw
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island drew 1-1 at home to the Birmingham Legion in the United Soccer League Championship yesterday [July 5].
Ronaldo Damus opened the scoring for the visiting side in the 27th minute before Noah Fuson equalised for Rhode Island in the 44th minute.
A former Bermuda captain, Smith made history in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural season.
Rhode Island are away to Indy Eleven on Saturday [July 12].
