Junior Golfers Begin Caribbean Championships
Bermudian golfers Darina Betschart, Arman Newton, Johnny Bart, and Lewis MacFarlane are representing Bermuda at the 37th Annual Caribbean Amateur Junior Golf Championships, competing across multiple age divisions as the tournament gets underway.
Betschart leads the girls 11-13 division after an impressive opening round of three-under-par 69, which included six birdies, nine pars, and three bogies.
In the boys 18 & under division, Newton finished tied for 10th with a four-over-par 76, recording two birdies and 12 pars. Bart sits in 13th place after shooting a six-over-par 78, which included one birdie.
MacFarlane, playing in the boys 11-13 division, posted a 17-over-par first round to tie for 13th, with six pars and nine bogies.
