Mark Morrison Races In Super Marathon
Bermudian runner Mark Morrison impressed at the recent Valle d’Aosta Super Marathon in the Italian Alps.
Morrison placed fourteenth in the senior men’s division and was the fourth senior male master [40-plus] finisher in 3hr 58min 25sec.
“It was a great experience and definitely a bucket-list race I wanted to tick off,” Morrison told Bernews.
“I was able to stay in that first group for the first half and then got dropped and was in subsequent groups behind.
“However, over the last six-kilometre hill, it was unbelievably hard at the end of a marathon, and I suffered quite a lot with the altitude and gradient of the climb.
“I’m so pleased I got this result.”
