Khano Smith’s Rhode Island Reach Semis
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island have advanced to the semi-finals of the United Soccer League Jägermeister Cup after beating Birmingham Legion 1-0 at home in the quarter-finals yesterday [August 20].
Dwayne Atkinson scored the winner in the 74th minute.
The semi-final will take place on September 10.
A former Bermuda captain, Smith made history in his first year as a head coach last term, leading Rhode Island to the Eastern Conference final in their inaugural USL Championship season.
Rhode Island are away to Hartford Athletic in the league on Saturday.
Surely the BFA are looking at him as their next Senior National Squad Coach
